I say this sincerely and let the readers of these lines believe me. We were never disheartened by the bad socio-economic conditions. They could be overcome in time. We would have to work and create the good things of our country. We cannot abide political subjugation (one must say white while seeing black), or forgetting our national culture, Armenian history, religion, baptism or marriage, ridiculing God and priests. Ridiculing us repatriates by calling us aghbar, for talking in the western dialect, and the uncertainty, also greatly disillusioned us.
